Let’s start with the benefits of grounding. Latest research has found that grounding can improve inflammation, free radical damage, blood pressure, sleep quality, pain, stress, mood, and wound healing. When it comes to autoimmune diseases - grounding can help reduce pain (NO Ibuprofen) and regulate immune system response. According to the latest research, a pilot study showed that 1 h of daily grounding can significantly induce a pleasant mood and relaxation.
Grounding is a FREE and a very powerful form of healing that doesn’t involve any pharmaceutical intervention.
At times, grounding is also known as Earthing.
Here are a few tips to incorporate grounding into your daily routine:
- Make grounding a habit - try to find a place where you can relax for 20 minutes technology-free. LEAVE THE PHONE AT HOME!
- Try to do it while the sun is still out - try grounding during a sunrise or a sunset. While the media loves to demonize the sun and blame the sun for skin cancer - it’s not exactly the sun that's the problem. It’s the toxic sunscreen with terrible ingredients that may be leading to issues with the skin.
- Incorporate grounding while travelling - try to spend at least 15-20 minutes on the ground, walk barefoot beside the ocean.
Clearly, grounding is an extremely underrated form of healing that should deserve more attention and “be prescribed” to patients with autoimmune diseases, nervous system dysfunction, thyroid issues etc.
